Yeah kinda sucks really… So could that be one of the only things? You’re saying smoke test is that for vacuum leaks or something? Should they really be getting leaks if they’ve changed the CCV? What are some parts that could not have a proper vacuum or I don’t know haha

It's to check for leaks. Valve cover gasket, intake tube or even the CCV itself could be the corporate. That's were they need to focus but they will do it there way by just changing parts on your dime. I would say do not accept mediocre work. Once they figure it out do not pay for anything but what the issue was. Make enough fuse you'll get the good faith warranty and leave paying minimal out your pocket. They should of put you in a loaner also since they can't figure it out.

If you go in there without educating yourself first, you're putting yourself and your wallet entirely at their mercy. Maybe they've never done a smoke test before. Sure, their way of replacing parts until they fix it will eventually fix it, but at your expense, not theirs.

It’s quite ridiculous really.. What can I do then? It’s pretty unacceptable having my car for nearly 2 weeks and just nothing. I do have a rough idea on how some things work on these cars but like.. Really?! Well they gave me a quote to do coils, plugs and ccv valve kit. So they won’t get anymore out of me since they were like the rest is fine. Seems like their f*ck up.

Maybe you need to find a good indy mechanic. Dealers are notorious for bending you over. Dealerships make more money on car repairs, than they do from car sales.

Also pay attention to wording. If they say it's recommended service then the bill is on you. If they tell you it's the fix and it doesn't fix it then let them have it. Do not talk to your SA go directly to the service manager. That's when things get done. I've been there many times. Just recently with a transmission fluid change (I was being lazy). They tried to charge me $600 and when I was sent to the receipt to pay I noticed a $160 charge for a kit that required you to drop the transmission. When I went and talked to the service manager he told me the kit was purchased for the drain plug. I laughed and said you charged me $160 for a kit just to get the plug out of it. He knew I was pissed and BMW ended up paying for the whole thing.
