The car is already back together and perfect. They performed this frame xray and everything is within 1mm of specs. I dont see anything wrong with keeping it. Title is normal. Do you guys think I should sell it?

I took the car to a shop and they looked at it and you could not even tell by looking under the car.

if you tell the buyer what surgery u performed on this car, i can 1000000% assure you that , NO ONE WOULD BUY IT, unless you hide the truth and dont mention it, which is unethical.

If you were buying a car and see these pics, i doubt that you ll go ahead with the purchase.
GL and congrats on the successful operation Enjoy your car

No biggie. That's about how much I removed to install my AE LEDs.

The car's warranty expired while in the shop. I took it to BMW here in Gainesville and they said they did not do body work to that extent. It was about $4000 to repair. I bought the car in TX from a dealership and had no idea that the rails were damaged. The rails were welded poorly and the welds began to fail causing a horrific noise when I turned left.
$4K seems very low considering the amount of labor involved. R&R engine, transmission, etc. and the many body parts, then replacing the rails (can't be cheap - they're BMW parts!) is extensive and time consuming. I read that the technicians who do BMW approved front end body work (dealers) are required to go through some expensive training. Your guys labor rates must be very good and you apaprently got a deal. I would have guessed it would cost twice that much or even more. A couple years ago I got quoted $1500 just to fix a minor scratch on my front fender because it's aluminum. Good luck.

I remember last year when he was talking about picking up this car across state lines and I (along with others here) suggested NOT doing it....then the mention of the windshield "popping" as he drove it away from the lot, and yet he STILL drove it home! I must confess, he does maintain his persistence where making it "Work Out" is concerned! Good Luck with the now repaired car, I hope it makes you happy!

Out of curiousity, was a Carfax report requested and reviewed prior to the out-of-state purchase? And if so, then what did it say about previous accident damage?

Good point. It is a very good idea to get a Carfax report before you buy any used car. I got one when I bought my son's 4Runner and I don't think I would have had the confidence to buy it without the report.
