Which car to buy?

The 550i is only 3K more but you get a longer warranty which is really good. As far as performance, theres not much difference if any. The 550 has more horsepower, but its also heavier so the gain is negligble IMO. An owner on here tested his 545i against his 550i and was running almost the same 0-60 times.

If you choose more options, go to 545i...
If you choose performance, go to 550i...
Personally I prefer the 550i not only performance. it is low in mileage, more new and more time on warranty.

My Ride: 2008 535i w/ Sports & Permium Pkg. Silv/Blk
2008 VW R32 w/Nav.
1992 VW Corrado Silv/Blk-retired
2001 530i Sports/Premium-retired
First get a CarFax & BMW service history on both cars and compare the info. to what the seller tells you and what you see from your inspection.
2) All things check out fine......go with the 550i (yes the extra warranty is that important.)
3) Try to talk down the price of the 550i, there may be some room for movement on that. (...you know gas prices and all)
4) Don't get bogged down with the power to weight, 545 vs 550 argument, you are not buying a time attack car right?
5) Built in SatNav is good but you can buy a slamming Garmin et. al. for a lot less & it's portable!
Good Luck!
