Hello, I have a 2005 BMW 530i with L7, 2 Alpine type R's, a CAP and a mono 1000D Amp. I want a cost effective way to have bass control, MP3 and a ipod adapter, which my deck that I took out of my old car has all these functions. I know that coding and installing a ipod function/ AUX is expensive and right now I cant afford such. So does anyone know how to install a deck like the one in the pictures below? Or there is a DIY that I missed?

i ran a jl clean sweep off my oem deck and that has an aux hookup for an ipod. the ipod cable i bought also charges the ipod when the cars on. as far as bass control with songs on your ipod with the clean sweep there is none. you just have to adjust you amp. with the fm radio or sirus u can use the stock units bass control. but the clean sweep flattens everything and you dont really need to adjust the bass. my 2 10s hit pretty hard. the system lacks mid bass like 100-200 hz. the 4 inchs dont do a great job with those.

 

My deck has a ipod cable attached to it and has basscontrol. just wondering how i would go to connect it to the car and subs. It is a 1 din deck.
