Your battery is dying or you have electrical problems. I've had the exact same thing happen. There was an electrical problem that cause the battery to leak. Once it gets to a certain level, the car goes into lock down mode. NOTHING you do with the key will work. Not even using the mechanical key.
thats strange that you say that becuase i had a few instances where my time and date were reset and a warnig came up saying that there was "increased battery output" or something like that. did you have similiar problems? if so how did it end up?
