If you plan on small mods like tints and some wheels hands down go with the 528i. This way you can have the color/interior and all options you prefer. If you plan on larger mods like a remap, exhaust/headers, body kit go with the 530i! I myself would go with the new 528i! Either way you'll be driving a sick E60
Hope you make your decision and start enjoying.
btw have you considered a used 545, or a new 535?

Should I consider a 545?

Hi oceanbluela and welcome to the Forum.
I'm voting for a brand new 528iA September '08 -> built!
The LCI is simply a better car and the 528iA is fast enough.

Personally I think the 545i would be available at a similar price.
It would be less to insure, maintenance should be part of the CPO package and as you say gas mileage isn't one of your main concerns, then it sounds like your best option!
You don't drive many miles a year, so a V8 would NOT be much of a detriment, and even more it is a thrill to drive EVERYDAY!! The car will have depreciated BEFORE you take ownership and many are available pretty well loaded from the factory, so the only question remaining is....What's taking you so long to get one???

Hahahahaha. Going right now to do another test drive. The 530 again and a 545. But the 528 is still in contention. I'll let you know how it goes.
