I have an '05 545 sport w/out Nav and w/out Sirius prep. Is it possible to get Sirius installed from the dealer? Has anyone had this done?
It's ridiculous that BMW wouldn't include sat prep on a $65k car when it would only cost them a couple bucks...

In a word: No
If Sat Prep was offered and you or your dealer didn't bite, then there's no way to retrofit it (I've heard $2k might get it done...). It really does suck...I can't believe they would offer such a low price option for something of such appeal...it doesn't even make good business sense. For Christ sakes, build it into the price of the car...what is $70. Decisions like this make me question their product marketers...I mean, what were they thinking? I guess I will just get an Ipod or something. Don't want to fool around with Sirius if it isn't integrated (and especially with an aftermarket trunk-mounted pod as a requisite accessory).
