Is there any way to polish out the pits or do I have to replace the lenses? And if so how much do they run and how hard are they to put in?

I belive there have been some p[eople on the forum that have wet sanded their lenses to get rid of signs of wear and hazing. I'm not sure how deep your pit is and if sanding it will help.

I'd be interested to know as well.

Actually same question for pitted windshields.

Don't forget to get some 3M film or any other good film. I used "Bavarian Autosport Clear Urethane Headlight Shields," part number H2126, from http://www.bavauto.com Cost was $64.95 + S&H.
