I just got a full progman update done yesterday to turn on my bluetooth, I asked them to get with me before doing the update so I could see what options there were to turn on and of course they didn't. I want to add an AUX jack to my 2004 non-nav 530i but the dealer wanted to charge me to recode the car on top of the recode already being done so I told them no thanks and bought the AUX cable from parts and I'll put it in myself. After the update was done I asked the tech who did it whether I'll needed to reflash again when the AUX is connected and he said no it should just turn on in the iDrive and work. Can anyone confirm this? I've read A LOT of the posts in search function but I can't see this addressed for a non-nav unit. I found a number of posts referencing that if you have the MP3 functionality turned on that it's plug and play but that's not an option for my car.
