My Ride: 2004 530i ~ 2002 X5
Can bus & battery drain
Hello! I'm really excited to become a part of this forum, until now I've spent most of my time bimmerfest.
So for the reason I came to this forum..
I have a 2004 530i that I picked up for $1800. I've had a few e46's, e90's and an x5. But this is my first 5 series and I love it.
I picked it up for such a good price because it has a battery drain issue that the previous owner could not figure out. The icv, disa and maf are powered on even during sleep. He replaced the instrument cluster trying to fix the issue. The dme, sgm and kbm show program dates of 01/2022 also so I'm guessing if this issue has been going on for that long that they were replaced trying to fix it as well.
I have yet to perform a parasitic draw test, but I know most of the draw is coming from the icv, disa and maf running at all times. I've tested ALL fuses and relays other than the ones on the power dist block behind the fuse panel in the trunk. Today I will continue to unplug modules in hopes of finding one that is faulty. Below are code readouts to give a better idea of what I'm working with.
I posted the ignition reading because I was curious if that small amount of voltage on terminal 15 could effect anything? That reading is with the key off and out.
I will post the ista tree and a few other things after work as they are on my laptop and I have questions about a few specific readings that I would love an opinion on. And would like to know if that can bus issues can even cause those engine electronics to stay on. And yes I know the battery Is extremely low. I had a bad voltage regulator but that is fixed now and the battery reads about 12.4 with car off.
Thank you so much for any input!

Still waiting on that tree and hopefully a ISTA error screenshot. Looking at those errors i would start at the MPM then look at the SHD module. If you haven't done that parasitic draw test I would do that also. Should be an easy find because you're only looking at the K-Line
