Sorry you are having trouble

I had the same trouble about a year agoalthough the cause could be something completely different

I will try and guide you through theprocess as I remember. If you would like more information, please just ask aquestion on the post or to me personally or go onto youtube and put in parasiticbattery drain and there are many examples of what I am writing about.

But please write your outcome so others cansee what you did and how you fixed it.

So first.
If your battery is going flat, you mustfirst check if your battery or alternator are faulty.

It’s a simple test if you have a multimeter.

Simply open your boot and removed the trimcovering your battery on the right hand side.
You will have to turn and remove twoplastic retaining plugs first though.

Now your battery is exposed. You can seethe red cable nearest the front of the cable which is POSITIVE + and the blackcable or NEGATIVE – is closets to the rear of the car.

Connect your multimeter and check thebattery volts with the engine not running.
12.66v .. . . . . . . . . 100%
12.45v . . . . . . . . . . 75%
12.24v . . . . . . . . . . 50%
12.06v . . . . . . . . . . 25%
11.89v . . . . . . . . . . 0%

Then startthe engine. Your volts should be between 13 and 14.5 volts
Of coursethe higher the reading the better the alternator is.
Below 13volts is not good

So lets imagine now that your battery andalternator are both good.
Now turn your multimetter to the settlingof 10 to 20 AMP
I’m looking at mine now so yours may be alittle different.

And again put the leads to your battery.
Make sure you switch all the lights off inthe car, ignition off and the boot light off

With everything switched of your car shouldbe drawing power max about 10.5 amps I think.

This is because the car still drains powerto run things E.g. clock, computer etc.

If your current draw is higher that tat10.5 then you have a parasitic drain and need to find it.

Find your fuses which are above yourbattery and in the glove box.

One fuse at a time pull it out until yousee the amp meter drop
When you find the drop you have found thecause of your problem.

And can go about fixing it

Previously my drain was caused by a fault airconditioner switch in the dash

I hope this helps
