My car came with CIC nav retrofitted. I have working INPA/NCS/Tool32 and have done some coding but am no expert and have never coded any VINs to any modules yet. I have then new 2014 maps and want to order an FSC code but I am not sure if the CIC is actually coded to my VIN. Can anyone tell me the procedure to pull the VIN from the CIC?
Thanks

In tools 32, if you open the file CICR, somewhere in there you will see c_fg_lesen. Double click this (lesen means read, so you can more or less click on those without too much worry). This will give you the last 7 of the VIN the CIC came out of. You need this to order the FSC code for map updates. C248467 in my case.

ncsgrad2006 thanks again. Just pulled the VIN and sure enough it matched my car. Better to be sure before paying for an FSC code. I appreciate the help.
