I have a 2004 545i and all I want to know is if I can upgrade my navigation software to have better graphics and I read somewhere that you can see gas stations, hotels and stuff like thiat with the upgrades on the x5 site. Is this true?

 

No. The X5 navigation is a totally different system and the software isn't compatible.

Not sure what you mean by "see gas stations, hotels and stuff" -- you can see that sort of information now with the E60...

 

Is there anyway to upgrade the way the graphics look? I have a 2001 GS300 and even being 3 years older it looks better. Where do I go to set the system to show me where the closest hotel is or closest mall?

 

Although your expectations may be a bit high comparing the BMW system to the Lexus, you can still find the closest hotel or mall by using the "information" feature...

No my zip is 37932 the 15012 is my old student id at tech school. I am still having a problem getting my nav to show POI. I am not sure how to use the information feature. Can you help?
