Exclamation Cable for coding (7 or 8 pins)

Hello friends,
So, I got a cable and started learning coding (digital speed) Anyways I got an error "DATATRANSMISSION TO INTERFACE DISTURBED" I know its for the cable I'm using. I also learned from another forum that you can convert your cable from 8 to 7 pin etc.

Attached are pics of my cable. I have 2006 550i VIN: CP00978.
Let me know if this is the right cable or it needs some modifications.

Thanks

The 2 solder joints in your 3rd picture need to be desoldered for this car as i understand. You may wire a switch in to make it easier to go from different series cars.
