Hate to bump a year old thread but....
Im basically going through the exact same issues and im ready to replace the compressor.
I just had back surgery a couple months back so im a little handicapped atm and im curious how involved of a job this is.
Anyone have a good DIY? Avg replacement time? Just trying to figure out if I can tackle this or if my back is going to shut down mid way through the job.
Car is an 06 530xi wagon.
