The thing that really sucks is that the car will only be 3 doors away...the guy that bought my 525 bought the 545...close enough to hear the B&B fire up every morning...that hurts / But at least I'll make sure that it's taken good care of

What are the major differences you've seen since switching?

I doubt they'll fit on the benzo.
So I figured you guys would get it quick enough?yes, yes I bought a benz?an E350?fast enough to get me out of trouble but not fast enough to get me into trouble?I know this sounds funny but the 545 was IMHO just too fast for a daily driver?if you weren?t trying to go fast you would be at 100 before you knew it?and if you were trying you would be at 120+

The Benz is just a cruiser?conservative but sporty?exactly what I need right now?at 80 the Benz feels just fine?not too fast not too slow?at 80 the 545 felt like it needed to go at least another 20 mph / But the handling?or should I saw lack there of?even with the equivalent of the sport package (and lowered) the thing is just is plain sloppy..but I don?t care much?again just a cruiser

What are the major differences you've seen since switching?
The Benz just floats?even with the MBZ equivalent of the sport package?even with 19?s and Michelin rubber, even after lowering it?its just plain soft?BUT?that?s perfect for me right now?kinda where my head is at. Granted I have the airmatic suspension?but still. Oh speaking of airmatic..for my situation thats very cool...for me keep it low and choose to keep it stiff in sport mode...and when wifey jumps in raise it up and choose to soften the ride on comfort (height and damping are seperate)

Miss iDrive?while MBZ may pride itself on not having to deal with iDrive? the command system is a joke?come on, menus on the instrument cluster controlled by buttons on wheel?come on get with it!

Its just so different its hard to draw a comparisons (even thinking back to my 525)?two totally different cars?we?ve all heard it said a thousand times before?the BMW is the drivers car?and it?s handling is unmatched?and that?s true. The Benz its more relaxing for me to drive and it is rock steady?stereo (L7) seems to be a bit better, Navi is great, CD changer in the dash (where it should be), Pano roof with ambient lighting is the coolest...but at the same time the MBZ compared to the E60 seems dumbed down...simplistic if you will...not that, that?s bad...it is what it is

Fun to learn about all the MBZ mods?lowering, V1 hardwire, Euro parts, DVD through Navi, etc?

But you know MBZ,BMW?BMW,MBZ?seems silly to be comparing?splitting hairs at this level?and it just comes down to what you want from your car?I like them both for what they are?now if we could just get the designers/engineers from both camps together and take the best attributes from each?hmmm

Ahhh, bro, sorry to see you go.

But I can understand. Only YOU can determine when enough is enough.

You've helped me decide on getting the B&B exhaust. Thanks for providing the sound clips.

The E-class is a different kind of animal compared to the e60. Who knows...you may eventually decide that it is the better car for you at this stage.

Keep in touch with all of us here in the forum. Would be nice to see you drop-by every once in awhile.

Can you post some pictures of your E350?? I'm interested to see how it looks with those 19inch wheels.

Well guys (and a few gals...speaking of gals whatever happened to "miss5452U"...she was amusing) I?m out?

?but the shine certainly wore off?and it just started to not be fun anymore.

?and my problems are certainly not indicative of the brand (so I think)?but for me personally I?m done for now?

I?ll still be lurking this is a great forum?and I still want to stay close to what is going on?can?t wait for the 550 evaluations to start rolling in.
