Can you upload a clearer photo and a side profile so we can get a real feel for the gap and height. It looks like you have the wrong offset on there as well. Is it sticking out a little by the wheel well?

You can wax it but not compound it and once you put it on you don't want to take it off unless you want it off permanently. Not only to mention the aggressive look for the OZ and deep lips, the OZ wheels are very strong and will not easy to bend if hit potholes.
