I am flying out to Dallas (from Orlando, FL) to buy a 545i. I pulled a carfax and it was in an accident. However, the owner kept the car for over a year after the accedent so I am guessing it is not that bad. Anyways, I cannot take anyones word for anything so I am flying out tuesday morning (july 8th) to get check it out. It is a good deal so hopefully I will be taking the 15hr drive back to FL and not buying another one way ticket back to FL. Wish me luck! Any advice?

Personally I wouldn't buy a used BMW with a dirty carfax unless the price was amazing.

+1 I don't think there would be ANY car I would buy under those circumstances! If you did have a problem with the car on the drive back or after you arrived home, how would you ever be able to have the seller make it right?? I understand how attractive this car may be, but it just seems to make NO sense! I wish you luck with your decision, and keep us posted, I hope you can prove me wrong!!

Can the seller offer you any before fixed pics?
However, the only thing I strongly recommand you to do before paying, is drive the car to the firestone (BMW dealer will be much better, but expensive), asking them to rise the hole car up, check the car from underneath to see is there any heavy damage on the frame, if it has, probably engine might be damaged, I suggest you can directly go to the airport....
If there is no damage on the frame, or maybe just some bumper change, I bet it will be a good deal!~
However, Good Luck on it! drive safely, I think 545I is a power monster~~

BTW..I have a question, does 545I's V8 engine as reliable as the 530I's L6 engine~?

Be careful when buying a car that has been in an accident. If the price is SUPER low then yea do it, but if not I wouldn't.

The used car market in the USA is so depressed right now that you should have little or no problem finding as near a perfect 545 that has not been accidented. These cars can be tempermental under the best of scenerios, I can only imagine what can go wrong with one that has been in an accident.

What dealer in Dallas? I might be able to check it out for you and save you some time and money. LMK, email or PM.

I would search for a nearby 545 with no accident and also make sure you have extended warranty. You cannot drive these cars without warranty. Good Luck.
