Burning Scent.

i also felt some burning smell recently (very slight). And just found out the air box was melting. Hopefully will find out the reason soon

How the hell does an air box simply melt???

i don't know yet. car was in detail and that what they seen while detailing the engine. not the whole box just portion. I suspect it may be because of hard driving. i removed charc. filter recently not sure if that made a difference

yes i know. hope it's not serious. another thought is that it was dirty inside it may be blocking the air. and another thought - my wife was driving it right before this happened. may be she forgot to release hand brake like she does on our other car frequently
