has anyone ever gotten a bulb out warning but went and checked and the bulb is still working? As of late I keep getting a bulb out warning for my left license plate bulb but the bulb is still working. Inistially I thought this was due to my LED bulbs but I have switched them back to regular bulbs and this still happens, any ideas?

are the bulbs you swaped back to 5w ?
a warning light is thrown out if the wattage is to low, check or change your bulbs.

i had to put an on line resistor in with my LED bulbs to stop this happening in my car.

At times, the contact points may need to be cleaned. This has worked for me in the past.
Sometimes the bulb may still work, but is nearing the end of its life.

I'll give this a try hopefully it works, its getting annoying always having some sort of warning pop up on idrive. Especially now that its cold out it seems that when you first start the car it just seems to chime non stop for a while. cold weather, seat belt, bulb out, active steering malfunction, dynamic drive malfunction, servotronic error. The last three are works in progress with the dealer, and only come on once in a while of course never on when I take it to the dealer.

That's odd! Usually it will only throw that error on some bulbs if they're different wattages. If it still throws an error then it must just be something going on with the coding.
