If you want the full kit, IT consists of a IBM T30 laptop fully preped with SSS progman v32, A GT1 fibre optic multiplexer and the cables. cost in the uk over £1000.

Im taking a short cut.

PM'd regarding the software.. would love to code the dipping mirror feature and see if it works without comfort seats..

When did it hibernate during the VM install? or Winxp install?

If you aren't getting anywhere reformat the hard drive and start again if you can get a DOS prompt?

Couple of things to try:

1) Disconnect the battery and let the laptop sit for 5 mins. Try booting again.

2) The laptop may have defaulted to VGA output (has happened to me before, thought the laptop had died). Try switcing the dissplay output with the Fn key.

Do you get the mobo splash screen before it goes blank?

no its blank when I press the power button, a couple of times I have managed to get the splash screen to appear but it goes back to a black screen again.

Does anyone know what pieces you need for the fiber and will it work with the VM or do you have to have the T30 Laptop??

try removing the main battery and the cell button battery from the motherboard, start it up with the ac adapter, (no batteries anywhere) if it works, you can shut down and put the batteries back in but should probably finish installing the OS first or format the HD.

As somebody stated, connect it to an external monitor. With it off, press the Fn key then press the power button at the same time. Some Chinese laptops including Dell have this to launch the self diagnostics.

Sorry for not getting back toy you guys, motherboard is fried, will be getting a new one next week hopefully. I was haflway through installing DIS v44 as well, damn it! .
I can only try DIS v44 at the moment beacuase you need at least 80gb of free space for SSS Progman and this laptop has a 40gb HD, if it works im going to invest in a bigger HD.

This will be done using a DIAGHEAD emulator and the OBD2 port, I think it will work with the OPPS fibre optic multi-plexor but they cost around £400 - 600 on ebay, It can be done from any laptop or the IBM T30.
