Bug free software, does it exist?

Any software of any complexity will have bugs. There is really no practical way to have bug free software. Even the Space Shuttle planned for software bugs. There are 5 navigation and guidance computers. Four are identical and vote on a result from the various sensors. The fifth is different hardware and different software, built by a completely separate team, but to the same specification as the other four. It won't have the same bugs as the other four. This information is a little dated, but the same principles still apply.
I've been in software development for over 30 years and I don't see an end to software having at least a few minor bugs.? No matter how thoroughly you test it, something unexpected always seems to show up.? Some combination of things that you didn't expect to occur and don't handle well.? It has to do with complexity and the huge number of possible combinations of states and process interactions.? You just can't test for all of them in a timely manner, so you focus on the really critical stuff to avoid catastrophic failure and accept the fact that there will be some annoyances.

It's too funny, RDS does not work period, not under certain condition, never.
You saying that couldn't be tested, comon now ...
Does RDS fail to work on all configurations or just with certain build dates of the hardware or combinations of other options/features?

I.T. people rely on it for job security. (They probably build the bugs in)

I'd probably get STONED/SHOT if i told some of my "Job Security" stories .. lol
its actually a very well known fact/trade/deal in the IT business ... NEVER make it work 100% - otherwise there is NO need for ya .. but then again ...
all you have to do is build your infrastructure on Microsoft & there is plenty of Job Security.
