During previous posts of the "cup holder" issue I was a fan of the e60 cup holder and found no issue. Well....
After 9 months (and Many cups of coffee) a spring on the drivers cup holder decided it wanted to be somewhere else. When I brought my car in for its second steering rack I had them replace the broken cupholder.
Now I know what you all were talking about! The new cup holder (which appears to be the same design) just completely SUCKS! A can of soda, cup of coffee, or practically anything doesn't stay secure. It doesn't stay level. It seems like it wants to pop out (and has on occasion) at will.
Maybe it's a change in the spring tension, I'm really not sure.
My apologies to all of you who complained about the cup holder. My old one worked fine but this one Sucks hard!

I pull down the arm-rest in the back seat and ask my front passenger to use that one.....kind of a pain but they don't mind.
Hey, E60Sim....what is that round shape in the lower right corner of your windshield??

That's a danish designed parking time (something?), don't know the name of it i english..
But i Denmark a few parkingplaces are free for two-three hours, so I set the time of arivial, so the parking gaurds can see what time I parked my car
and dosen't give me a ticket

WTF? You mean they upgraded the cupholders to the ones that we have that suck and early build cars had functioning ones?

[/quote]Is there anyone that has had success in having a replaced cupholder fixed, or replaced again by the dealer in a way that actually works??
