i'm going to have to get nasty with them if they give me lip about not being able to fix it tomorrow...

Wow first day?? but if that is the case I'm sure of you talk to your dealer nicely and tell them what happened they probably would be able to fix it under warranty.

literally within 6 hours of getting the car, and possibly the first time i opened that door. there is no way this isnt under warranty.. the car has 20 miles on it

They should give you a loaner while it's being fixed. If not, then you get nasty. Find your sales rep and tell him in front of the customers of what happened.

dont worry...one would think that with you buying a brand new car and having this happen in less than 24 hours that this will be first priority!
