I use it all the time in the summer... just set it like 7 mins before you know when you're going to get to your car... like I use to leave work at 3:42 so i set it to go off at about 3:35.
car is a lot cooler and if get stuck at work for any reason I shuts off after a 15mins I think

I use parked car ventilation fairly often in the summer but I have to admit that the Audi solution is much smarter. Not only does it use solar panels to power the circulating fan (no dead batteries) but it also vents the air out of the car. BMW just moves it around the cabin but doesn't pull the air out like Audi does...
