I noticed this light yesterday while driving back to work. I figured I just have never noticed it so I looked again this AM and not light. I tried everything to try to make it come on but no dice.

Can anyone tell me what the light is for?

It's on only when u push the off button and comes on when u turn on your parked ventilation, other then that i dont know what excatly means. I think the manual would know what that light idicates, thats all i know If anyone knows more about it much knowledge is apprciated.

Hmm , I've never noticed that before until you mentioned it. I wonder if it has anything to do with indicating "parked operation"? The manual is not very specific regarding the 3 fan indicators, including that one.

It means that parked car ventilation has been set. Go into "Climate" in idrive and then select "parked car ventilation" to activate, deactivate and/or set the times for on and off.

I never used the "Parked Ventilation" feature (although i was playing with that menu yesturday...maybe that is it. I will try and report back)...Also, it does not come on when the button is on OFF...when the button is on OFF the button "dash line" turns Orange to indicate it is off. This is a small "fan icon on the console right below the Off button, is right in between the speed fan icons. Any way i looked on the manual and nothing...

That parked ventilation works great especially when it gets as hot as it does here in SoCal...bet it would work great as well when it gets hot and humid in VA

That's the one !

Pre LCI it was only standard on 535d and above models I believe (don't hold me to it) as part of the advanced air con (optional on other models)

I love it as it takes the edge off the heat inside the car when left in the sun.

My previous Audi had the solar sunroof which had solar panels in it which ran the fan on hot days too !

OK...verified that the red light indicates that the "parked ventilation" is activated.

Thanks for your help!!!

Afraid to use parked car ventiliation because it might kill my battery, i have tinted the car to substitue the heat problem.

I use it all the time in the summer... just set it like 7 mins before you know when you're going to get to your car... like I use to leave work at 3:42 so i set it to go off at about 3:35.
