Anyone know why or have an opinion why BMW doesn't use Brembo brakes?

Would you like BMW to add another 6-8k to the MSRP of the 5er? This would be necessary to cover the warranty repairs, service and maintenance, as well as the Brembo licensing fees.

Oh, and did I mention that BBKs like Brembos are not very comfy for street driving? Very grabby, can be loud with lots of squeaks ...

Plus, most folks (not you and I and most of the other board members here) do not care or even know about Brembos ... Heck, if you said Brembos to your typical 5er owner, he or she might think you said "bimbo" and slap you.

hahahha I want some "Bimbos" on my car... but not at a 5K tag on the MSRP!

WOW so since the umm 350Z track version has them... does that mean that car is really only worth $30K? $30K for all that machine? Wonder what they ummm went cheap on...

'cause BMW delivers their car with good standard brakes.

For real racing you should purchase a M3, M5 or M6.

And, the BMW brakes are quite good. Still, only 6-8K for 4 bimbos. Might not be too bad if they didn't eat to much.

I think BMW brakes are very very good itself. Much better than Audi ones

BMW brakes are excellent and for a few dollars look as good as Brembos.

Very nice Hormazd!
Where did you get the calipers painted, and what sort of lettering was used that could hold up to the heat/weather?

Looks cool!
