No, why should it? Remember the 16" and 19" options are non-Runflat...

My dealer was quite happy to swap and understood! (Actually the service person had 19" non-RFs on his car)

Nah it wont. they have no excuse... unless you get a cracked #124 rim and want the dealer to replace it they technically might be able to blame you... but blah! whatevers...

No, my preference would be to stay within BMW specs on wheels/tires, but, regardless, you should not have a problem.

Yes, it will. Also, filling up with non-BMW approved gasoline will similarly void the warranty. Using non-BMW approved soap to wash the car will also void the warranty. Although I believe BMW will let us use whatever water we want to wash the 5er - check with BMW Customer Service first though before trying it. But definitely driving on non-BMW roads will void the warranty.

Ok, ok, just kidding ... too much turkey.

Like everyone else just said, changing the types of tires will notvoid the warranty. This also begs the question, assuming changing the tires did void the warranty, what part of the warranty would be voided???
Too much turkey alright. How about the part of the warranty covering the BMW part that failed because of using out-of-spec wheels/tires? I can't say what BMW part might fail though. Maybe premature brake wear could occur because of excessively increased rolling resitance from the installation of wheels/tires that are way too heavy/big.

Now a days dealers can say anything... but i dont think it'll be a problem... non run flats are lighter than runflats.
ipse d and I were kidding/speculating. I was not addressing the original issue. I was just speculating on how wheels/tires could affect one's warranty.

We should let this thread die a quiet, unassuming death. Don't want to give BMW any ideas about warranty coverage/denials ...
