Would you guys believe that my breaks started squeaking, and I only have 13k miles! All I do is highway driving to and from work.

Anyone else having this happen already?

I have the same problem although only when the brakes are cold - I'm planning to get BMW to look at it next time I go in.

Depends on where you live.

When I lived at the beach in SC, everyone has sqeaky brakes.... due to the 100% humidity and salt air. It is unavoidable in those conditions.

No squealing brakes here in Dallas, yet. But, I usually brake lightly.

I have only 7000km on mine... and the brakes have been squeaking from the get go. Hot or cold. I took it in, they 'serviced' them (cleaned them off) and they started squeking again that same afternoon. I havent had time to go get this fixed 'AGAIN!'. My biggest beef with BMW is: I have gone to a 2nd dealer about this, and they admitted they have had problems with this with numerous other E60's. Apparently BMW factory was trying two different brands of brakepads, as it relates to the 530... so, if they know about the problem, then why dont they just FIX IT!!!! instead of having me drive around the city finding a dealer to service me.... a 3rd time!
I could have gotten better service from Kia if i spent $10,000 on my car...

yikes!

Most of the complaints seem to be from 525 and 530 owners. We need a poll.
