Question Break Pad Question

How long after changing your pads is it normal for them to start squeaking under light breaking, its not all the time nor constant but more than I feel it should be for them just being changed 4000 miles ago at the most. I was wondering if possibly being low on break fluid would cause the them to prematurely make noise? is there anyway that I may have installed them incorrectly which caused them to either wear early or something? the wear sensor Is not going off on the front nor the back so I mainly just want to make sure that im not risking ruining my rotors if it is something that can be prevented.

What type of brakes were put on. Did you clean and grease/coat everything you were suppose to grease/coat. I would say around 4K is about right if using aftermarket parts and it will continue to squeal. Your brakes and rotors are fine and the noise should subside once they are heated up. It's something you will have to get use to if you after trying to save $$ on brakes.

Your brakes aren't broken. Get out on the highway and up to speed. Make sure there's nobody around you, then do a panic stop. Get back up to speed and do it again. Let the brakes (not breaks) cool off. Bet the noise is gone.

Did you use brake lube at all? If not, that's almost surely your problem.
