Brakes squeeking a bit when slowing down ?

So my brakes have been squeeking on and off for the past couple weeks when coming to a final stop at slow speeds. In previous vehicles this was usually just brake dust that occasionally caused some squeeking-but that was what mechanics would say-is that true for bimmers or common?

You did not list your model specifics, but I have an 05 545 with 14k miles and my brakes were squeaking. Took it in and the dealer replaced front and rear breaks per a service bulletin on the problem.

Mine is going in firt thing in the morning. I have 7,100 miles and have been squeeking for about the last 300 miles.
