Guys,
Yes, i searched E60 550i
Seems to be a common issue but no real concrete solution (yet), my brake squeels when i come to a slow stop and a little when i lift the brake off (no squeel on hard stops). Replaced rotors, pads and sensors about 2-3k miles ago, has always been squeeling before the replacement and after the replacement? There is no vibration, so the rotors and pads should still be good.

Do I need to put more anti squeal?? I also heard of some people filing down the pad sensor? Any other recommendations?

Car is out of warranty btw....

TIA !!

it is known to BMW dealers. The problem is the brake sensors in the rear wheels. THey will not replace the sensors if there is already some milage on the car. You can temporarily make the noise go away if you clean the brakes thoroughly. It will re-appear eventually. THe situations is resolved when you change the brake pads and the sensors . The new sensors sold by BMW do not have this issue. My car is in warranty however with almost 28K km the dealer says they will not replace it as brake pads are supposed to replaced in anther 14k km.

I have the same issue but after a recent autocross, no more squealing , I'm sure it'll come back. But I'm pretty sure I'll need brakes soon so perhaps the dealer will replace the sensor with the newer ones which don't squeal.
