I am nearing the time where I will need to replace my front and rear brakes. The dealer said I have another 6 months. The reason for this post is I remember in the past reading that the best deal is to buy the parts (pads and rotors) and take it to a local BMW mechanic to install. I have a local BMW mechanic that comes highly recommended from a friend. If I remember there are some sponsors that sell the parts. Can anyone give any recommendations. I am located in Tampa, Florida.

Yeah, give location

Closer you are to a vendor the less expensive it is to ship.

You can't go wrong with either Trinity or Acute Performance. Both are recommended forum sponsors and highly recommended. Unfortunately I am not familiar with any Forum Sponsors in Florida. If your looking for OEM, you could contact Gary Romani of Newport BMW.

Hi

I've sold tons of brake pads and R1concept rotors on this forum. All are very happy with their choice.

The Hawk HPS pads are what I recommend. Better braking power than OEM pads but with less dust. The cost of that is $100 for the front and $75 for the rear.

What yr/make/model do you have? I can give you a quote for the rotors as well.

Let me know if you have questions, need reviews, etc.

Yeah, I just bought those pads and rotors from Michael and I really like the dust free OEM performance.
