just wonder if anyone has similar awkward situation of stopping but realise leg didnt take up high enough to brake pedal level, that it cause me to panick alittle when I wanted car to stopped actually.
shouldnt both pedals be of similar height? so that when u need to brake, you dont have to lift up yr leg that high to press on brake..
any suggestion that workshop can actually can help bring height (of brake pedal) down a little?

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny.
2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter.
Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.
The brake pedals have been the same height as the gas pedals on all the cars that I've owned all my life. I guess that they can be adjusted to accommodate shorter or taller people, but I would make sure that they were the same height. This should be a relatively inexpensive job, even by dealers standards.

but so far, all my rides brake pedal were higher than gas pedal, actually..n i didnt bother until lately i had a couple of close encounter of unable to brake on time, as shoe's side was brushed causing a "trip" on me unable to press on brake pedal..

At first your question puzzled me because every car that I have owned has had an accelerator pedal which was lower than the brake and clutch pedals. On my E60 if I slide my foot from the accelerator it will hit the side of the brake pedal,so I do have to lift my foot slightly before braking.Take a look at another model and see if your brake pedal height is correct.
so whenever I want to brake, I need to lift my foot high enough to tap the brake. But because its a little higher than "usual", sometimes my foot hit the side of brake pedal , causing "late" braking, and it kind of made me panick when I need to brake on time.

For the manual operators, accelerator pedal lower than brake pedal makes for great toe and heel rev-matching from a lower gear to a higher gear, e.g. (5-3, 3-2). It is also important that the accelerator pedal be placed lower/further away to avoid unintended acceleration (think Audi 5000).
