I went down to Boston for the weekend and left my car parked in a garage for 5 days. On my return, the brake pedal was rock solid, wouldnt move at all when I pressed it to turn the key...once the car started it became soft again. This happended again this morning. Car drives and brakes fine otherwise. Is this normal?

My Ride: 2007 530i. Purchased 6/28/07. Titanium Silver Metallic, Black Dakota Leather, Dark Poplar Trim, Steptronic, Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, Bluetooth, Adaptive Control Xenons. 10/30/07 Added OEM 124s with 245/40/18 & 275/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires. As others have stated, nothing to worry about. Happens once in a while on my car. Seems to be if I haven't driven it for a couple of days or the weather changes more than a few degrees colder. I mentioned it to my SA when I was in for a brake flush and a couple of other things and he said it's normal.

Pretty everytime I get in the car the brake pedal is very hard to press.
Whether the car was parked over night, or just for 5min.
I will mention it to my SA at my next visit. I am suspecting a vacuum check valve as mentioned in this post for the e90.
I will try to find out if the e60 uses the same components.
