Brake fluid leak today...strange place?
So lucky me...
Got the low brake fluid level warning today and filled it up when I got home and then crawled under the car to see where it’s going and found the spot. It’s underneath the backseat passenger seat behind the driver(left side) and the underbody panel #12 on the attached diagram the rear where the blue arrow is, is wet from fluid.
Any ideas what’s down there, is it just the brake line that sprung a leak or is there something else There? Is this a common place for a fluid leak?
thanks for any ideas about this.

nasty sounds like a busrt brake line. I have just had my 530d brake lines done from rear to front as DIY is a nightmare due to pipes runing over top of axle etc..
Cost me just over £200 from a local garage. If your lucky might just be to change a section saving a few £££
Good luck

While it's not common, there are instances of brake lines weakening in that area due to corrosion. Also possible it's the flexible line between the brake line and the caliper. check the flexible one first, then get a flashlight and inspect the brakeline area.
