bmwusa.com has updated the "thenew5" page. It is at http://www.bmwusa.com/thenew5. It is the same Flash preview that's been on www.bmw.com and www.bmw.de for a while, except with less information . The only thing new is that you can now sign up for a newsletter for the new 5. Just click the link above, let the Flash preview load, on the lower left hand corner you can click to sign up.

Is it my imagination, or does the music in that video sound incredibly similiar to the music being played in the background on the new Jaguar S-Type R commercial (the supercharged S-Type)?

Its almost like its the same band, just with a slightly different melody....

If you haven't seen it, I think they play it on CNBC most often.

I haven't seen that Jaguar commercial yet. I have my TV tuned to CNBC now, trying to catch it.

 

Ya Know I get updates from Jaguar on their S-Tpye R and I have the movie you guys are talking about. Yes the two sound just alike with slight differences. I would post a link but I can't seem to extract a link to follow. The movie is in Java and I can't download it or make a refrence to it. If anyone wants it I can forward my email to you.

O.K., so I'm not going crazy then. You know when you're a musician, you tend to have sounds stick in your head more so than other people do (for some reason). I would be fixing breakfast in the morning & hear JUST THE MUSIC for the Jaguar commercial (as that is the way it starts, without any dialogue) coming from my living room.

I think at least twice, on two separate occasions, I ran over to the T.V. to see if it was a commercial for the new 5. But thanks for restoring my sanity, however it still seems too coincidental. I wonder if it was done on purpose?
