Living in Germany, I don't blame you for being calssified an addict. Must be nice living in the homeland of BMW.

Oh yes - Its a very different country now - very stable, strong economy, and top tourist destination.

I liked South Africa when there weren't many tourists. The change was good though, but if you know the country without tourists all over the country...
I also liked Rhodesia very much...

I am looking forward to come back to South Africa and Zimbabwe soon, to see all the changes in person.

[quote name='Iceman' date='Nov 6 2004, 12:56 AM']Welcome aboard, BMW#4 !

DD (ARS) does make the ride more comfortable.
I have it myself and tested other cars without it. It is a big difference, IMHO!?

Anywhere that's within driving distance of the Nordschleife sounds like heaven to me

Have only been there once... Didn't drive there myself yet...
That's how it is when you live "around the corner"...

Most German insurance policies don't cover the Nordschleife. Most UK insurance companies don't know about it yet though

Maybe you should book a ride in the Ring Taxi. It's a M5, driven by a racing driver. Cheap too (?40), as BMW subsidise it (heavily).

I've done about 50 laps. The best piece of road you will ever find. Corners at 100 MPH are so much more fun than motorways at 150 MPH

Well, the Nordschleife is basically a "regular road"! So it has to be covered by all insurances... But that is for damages to other cars and the Ring itself. Coverage to your own car might be voided on the Ring, but that has to be in your contract. If not, you'Re covered, since it is a regular road!
AFAIK almost ALL insurance companys cover your car on the Ring.

Check your contract for details!

When in this forum, remember its an international one and answers from us in the United States don't neccessarily apply to elsewhere. Having said that, I have Dynamic drive and I love it. That in conjunction with active steering makes the car feel much smaller and lighter in turns.
The R6 is the magnesium one with 255 hp?
