BMW's HPFP update
Hi Guys,
I went to the dealer with symptoms of long cranks when starting the car. I assume it was the HPFP. BMW told me that they've updated the HPFP with a software reprogram. Anyways the symptoms are still there, and I will be going back to the dealer soon. Does anyone know if BMW fixed the HPFP or not?
Thanks,
Andy

I had the same symptom in the morning and lost power on highway. My local BMW dealer replaced the low pressure fuel sensor 13-53-7-547-883 and the high pressure fuel pump 13-51-7-594-943. I don't know what ASA-BOLT 13-53-7-582-770 is but they replaced it too and reprogrammed. *943 was the newest one but I think new hpfp came out for N54. After they replaced them, it runs fine so far.
As far as I know the 943 is the newest pump thus far. I am on my second pump with the previous version of the HPFP. The latest problem happened in March - this time around it was fuel injectors, spark plugs and a reprogram. Thus far after about 3000 miles the car has been running fine.
