My Ride: 2004 545i - 6 speed manual (July 04 build), silver-grey/black, sports package std equipment (18", active roll, active steering, adaptive headlights), premium sound, bluetooth enabled, folding rear seat, lumbar, 3m hood/bumper protective film, rear tint, euro reflectors.
Is there internet links to the BMW Technical instructions.
I just received my Dinan CAI and Throttle body and plan on doing the install myself.
I need the instructions for:
- Throttle body replacement
- Front bumper Removal
- Headlight Removal

You can subscribe to BMW TIS for 24 hours for $25. During that time, you could print out everything you need. You can find the online TIS by clicking here.
Also, for some of the more common tasks, this forum may already have what you're looking for. For example, I found the following post that shows how to remove the headlights (and it includes removing some of the bumper parts so it may help you out with that too.)
http://forums.e60.net/index.php?s=&showtop...indpost&p=40103
Depending on how patient you are, I may get a chance to look things up for you but some tasks can be pretty complicated to compile and post here on the forums. I'll do my best when I get some time and see if I can come up with something but until then, see if the above link helps you out.
If you are too anxious and can't wait for me, then maybe another member can help out or, as I mentioned already, you can always subscribe to the online TIS...

Item 1 sounds compicated, but 2 and 3 are easy. In fact item 2 is the preliminary task for item 3. Other member here and I can do item 3 w/o removing front bumper.
BMW says the throttle body is less than 1 hour, the CAI is about 3 hours. That means it will probably take me 2 hours and 6 hours respectively.
However, I needed to remove the front bumper cover to install my radar/laser system so it is forcing me to start that task also.
Any other advice or words of wisdom will be much appreciated.

Okay, I think I found the instructions you need for the throttle body -- except that the instructions I found are for removing the "throttle assembly" which may or may not be the same thing.
Let me know if this is it or not....
