BMW will start to recall 32,084 2008-?11 vehicles starting this November for issues with the auxiliary water pump that could lead to a vehicle fire. The BMW models included in the recall include the BMW 7 Series, X5, X6, 5 Series, 5 Series Gran Turismo and Alpina B7. Link
My question is, I have a US vehicle ( 535i 2010) that I purchased in Canada recently through a car shop. I have not yet taken it to any dealer for servicing. Will the Canadian dealers honour the recall or should I hop across the border to Buffalo and get this recall issue taken care of?

 

No worries - if you actually find the proper information about it you will see that the recall affects the V8 models only and only for the twin turbo - i.e. the E60 is mislisted.
