BTW Toyota has no problems with their engines and cars in general, those idiots who got in troubles with gas pedal stuck because of floor mats just should not drive generally. Nissan has issues with engines built in US only - no surprise here. Overall Nissans are truly problem free vehicles.

I agree with Hansen completely, BMW should get class actions for crap they put in their overpriced over-hyped cars.
Between a 3 series and a G35 or LS350? No, I didn't notice 2x the price difference. And you are truly delusional if you think Nissan and Toyota are problem free. But don't let me interrupt your little internet rampage. Carry on

If you go back and research you will find that the floor mat was not the problem this was just a diverter by Toyota. If it was a floor mat there would have been no need to totally redesign and retro fit all their cars with a new pedal design...

The grenading VQ35 engines weren't limited to those made in the US either but, let's not cloud the issue with stuff like......facts

I had two problems with my 525. These problems occurred after hitting 100,000km.

My 525 was built in 2005. It is now on 115,000km and a month ago had the PCV valve and PCV hose replaced by the dealer as it was drinking quite a lot of oil. Actually I was adding oil every 1500km, which was not normal. At the same time I also had the cooling thermostat replaced as the car was running rich and the petrol smell was really bad to the point that everyone inside the house could smell it.

I spent $2000 on getting both fixed and have been running smoothly ever since. Fingers crossed.

My car has the same engine, I got my lifters replaced. I am just wondering this oil circulation / cooling issue could predominantly happen in hot conditions (meaning places like Arizona/ Texas). I am just trying not to accept that it would happen to me, . Is there any one here with the same engine which is past 150K miles? (2006 and 2007 525I/XI)
