I had bought my 2010 updated 2x dvds about a month ago and let me tell ya... updated maps are much faster than the nav not having the street or the new construction. I am on the road a lot and the 2009.2 sucked as far as data being up to date. 2010.1 plus the upgraded nav work great... is the bmw nav system f'in awesome??... na I bought the car for its performance.

Stupid question but my car only has one slot for the nav DVD so how do I use two discs with the 2010.1 upgrade?

I believe the second disc may be for Canadian maps.

Both of you are incorrect... it is split right down the middle... more towards the right actually, from canada all the way down through the USA--- so you only keep the east side in for example if you live... on the east side of the line

So how does that work if you are going from a location on disk 2 (say in Texas) to a destination that is on disk 1 (say Chicago)?

download the one with cams. go to the end of the e90post thread and there is a link for cams.
disk 1
BMW Nav update-1.jpg

disk 2
BMW Nav update-2.jpg

if your using the nav and traveling from say New York to San Francisco half way through you must switch disk and insert the other disk. wait 5 mins and power it back up.

imo there isn't much of a difference graphics are pretty much the same

Can you both files fit on a Dual Layer DVD?

I found couple of days ago somewhere on Google a torrent link that is labeled BMW Professional 2010.1 ISO and the size of the file was 4.37GB vs the files that are on the E90 website which are Disk 1 = 3.80GB and Disk 2 = 2.88 GB.

I'm wondering why the BMW Professional 2010.1 ISO is 4.37GB!! Could it be some modified the two DVDs and created one ISO with both??

I didnt drive my car into work today, but as I mentioned in my post earlier, there no significant visual difference between the 2009 and the 2010 discs. They look the same. So far the only thing I have noticed is there is a road by my house that people use as a cut thru all the time, and now on the new map instead of it being shown as side street, its highlighted more a larger street.

All youre really getting is any new roads, updated business listings (in the same categories mind you), and maybe a faster response time. Other than that, its pretty much the same. We are stuck with our old crappy Navs, cause now that the F10 is out, I am sure BMW isnt going to be spending much time upgrading the firmware of the CCC Nav systems.
