I could not find few streets in new one which was there in 2009 DVD.
interesting

no reason to update my disk yet I guess, thanks for the info

Is this DVD just pop in and done? Or is an update required at the dealership?

If you torrent this, and put it on a DVD-RW, can the BMW drive recognize this and allow it work?

Sorry I'm a newb on this topic.

Yes, and another thing I found today. My previous 2009.1 used to say whether my destination is in right or left but looks like 'TeleAtlas' lacks this info. I don't get this info any more. However I am keeping my '2009.1' DVD in my glove box which I still feel its better. On the positive note, the new one (2010) has more POI and its much faster than the old one. Definitely the speed is better since the size of the disc is only close to 3GB (Disk 1) as against 5GB+ 2009.1 DVD which is also DL. The 2010 you can burn (oops..sorry..) , you buy the original in single layer disc.

You have 2007, so just eject the old one, toss the new disk in. I drive would recognize it as a new disk and ask you to shutdown and start after 5 mins. Stop the engine and pull the key fab out. wait for 5 mins, start the car ..voila.. your new navigation system is ready..

Honestly dont get your hopes up. I upgraded from a 2004 disc to a 2008 disc the 1st time, and I thought it was going to update the graphics etc, but really all you get is updated POI's. Now I am running the 2010.1 version and its not much different, just like have a new phone book when it boils down to it.

But its worth it if youre not paying!! LOL

Is there no speed/response time differences at all?
