It's the reason I stoped getting Audis....My 06 a4 was one of the last tha thad it.
I only looked at cars that did have it , with my experiance with VW's, of course now in 09 vw will have it for 3/36k...

never heard of such thing... I have recetly seen the option of exteding it to six years

Not to sound bad, but what about all those love comments about "how well the car handles and feels" that I've seen on this site. Drop the free maintenance and you guys run like roaches when the light gets turned on?
I really do feel sorry for the Euro and Canadian folks who pay far more $$$ and don't get the free plan like we do. Like high gas prices, folks in the U.S. are finally getting exposed to what everyone else in the world has been dealing with for a long time.
I can totally understand BMW dropping the free service - as long as they don't raise their new car prices
If you truly love a particular car (and don't just pretend you do) - then the cost of ownership is something you accept too.

In US dollars is that approx 200000 USD 
And the tax what we paid in one year approx 850 euro's in USD approx 1300 in one year.
And that is every year.

I don't even think it is other regions that are paying for it, anyone running their own company knows you don't give anything away for free! You are paying for it ok, the cars would otherwise just be cheaper....
The only thing that is free in live is the sun that comes up every morning!
Just like the servicing/maintenance packages you can buy in the UK, they'd still make money on them, lots of money....But through clever design they look a lot cheaper than buying individual services...

Anyone who believes lunch is free can come on over to take a look at the bridges I'm going to be selling next week! That said, should the "free scheduled maintenance program" go away ... wanna bet that oil services will be every 7500 miles or 2x a year at a minimum ... same with other services or fluid changes etc that BMW calls "LIFETIME" today!!
