bmw m5 wheels 166, stock tire size?

My Ride: 2006 BMW 550i

so stock m5 tires rub slightly on a 550i, right?
what size tires would one go to, to put m5 rims on a non-m5 car?

oh, and for the search nazis, i cant search "m5" or "166"...

This post presents an answer to the question about the biggest tires you can fit on an e60 with the 166 rims:
245/40/19 fronts
285/35/19 rears (same as the M5)

But I didn't go as large as that with my 550i: 245/35 is perfect in front, and 275/35 looks great in back.

As for which tire to get ... Michelin PS2s.

Show us some pics of what you go with.

i have 245/35 and 275/30 on mine. looks good and no rubbing

Same here . I would try 275/35 next time.
