is it navteq, garmin, tomtom, navigon,etc...

Id like to know as the BMW map is extremely expansive from the Dealer. Will be able to get it somewhere else for much cheaper if i can figure out what they use?

As far as I know, the dealer price matches the direct price from Navtec -- $199. Could be a plus/minus due to shipping and/or sales tax

Thanks guys.

So it's navq for US cars.
How about German, Euro cars? Since mine is German.

In Lebanon, the dealer was asking around 600$ for the DVD. That is why i am asking.

Depending on year, there are two versions for BMW cars; some use High and others use Professional; Go to the Navteq http://www.navteq.com/ and enter the information for your car to determine which map is appropriate; Or contact your dealer, provide VIN.

I would contact my dealer, but there is only ONE MAIN dealer in lebanon, so its like a monopoly. Hes the only one that owns the BMW map for 600$
So if I find out what kind of GPS program they use, I could buy the map and load it on a dvd and just make it work. Much cheaper
