BMW fitting a new naviagtion module too the car

no idea about the contacts issue as mine doesn't have the BT preparation. Wrt, the inter-phone transfer (6210-e71), have you tried to transfer contacts either via back-up & restore on PCsuite or sync using e71->outlook and outlook->6210. When you copy contacts to SIM, they loose their native structure i.e. if you have two numbers for " "John" (fex. mobile and fixed tel) the copied contact will be stored on SIM as John1 & John2.
Interesting point you raised there with "no such thing as goodwill". It looks like I either missed an opportunity to push BMW to admit full liability and cough up 100% or simply didn't bother pushing further due their their scare tactics on implying that i may loose the 50% if i chose to contest their offer (their offer was valid for 28days - a period within which the repair must have been completed). In any case, I'm now ~?1300 lighter on the wallet as I chose to get the fault fixed!!! (on hindsight less speed more haste may have been the right approach ;-( )
I guess, once I've accepted their offer and the agreed to pay for the rest of the work, I no longer have any claw-back routes to recover the money! right?
