Veight, im reffering to the engines by model and not by capacity (as for 550i), should have made that clearer

the 525i is a 2.5litre model

What is the 2.5 liter model engine? The 525 and the 530 have the exact same engine. EXACT. The only difference is the 3 stage front end on the 530.

Great info Thanks for sharing.

Makes sense based on everything else we've heard. Reads like the new F10 (?) will come out in late 2010 as a 2011 model year. And the best news is that the amazing 550 engine won't be out-of-date until 2011. Good, I can keep my car 'till then, unless I scratch that M5 itch sooner.
The "amazing" 550 engine will be out-of-date this Fall after MB releases E550.

Amazing, I can't tell when this is to be introduced because I can't open your pdf file. But BMW just fitted the E60 with their new 3.0 liter engine for MY06 and now they are going to change it. It never made sense to me that they had a 3.0 liter engine in the 325 or the 525 but to be changing engines so often is nuts.

Maybe you are talking for the european market.

So all the info you posted has absolutely nothing to do with the US market.

Guess I should have known that too.

Now I know why none of your post made any sense at all.

Thanks for the correction.
