I found one from Motor Trend
2004 BMW 545i AT
Test Data
Acceleration, sec to mph
0-30 mph 1.6
0-40 mph 2.8
0-50 mph 4.0
0-60 mph 5.4
0-70 mph 7.1
0-80 mph 8.9
0-90 mph 10.9
0-100 mph 13.6
1/4 mile, sec @ mph 13.7 @ 102.1
Braking, 100-0 mph, ft 340
Braking, 60-0 mph, ft 121
600-ft slalom, mph 66.0
200-ft skidpad, g 0.87
MT Fig-eight, sec @ avg g 26.6 @ 0.66
Top-gear rpm @ 60 mph 1900

So... 545i with slight advantage?
And this should give you the answer for OP.
M3 conver will be definitely slower than 545i due to e46 coupe M3 runs around 13.5

So with couple of 545i and 535i stats, we can conclude that 0-60 will be equal
with 545i pulls on a roll/highway runs due to higher trap. 545i constantly in 102-103 vs 100mph for 535i

yes.
Then I can only hope you have an accident some day that leaves you drooling in a wheel chair. That would be some excellent Karma (if such a thing existed).

just edited, motor trend.
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/luxury...llac_specs.html

the result was more of expected it. 3.0TT can keep to about 100mph then the v8 starts to pull.

Don't forget guys that we had some excellent work from Znod and Grogan545 who both got incredible 0-60 times out of their stock 545s. With a lot of practice, and much trial and error, both made the 0-60 runs in less than 5 seconds. Grogan, if I recall correctly, also had corroboration on the drag strip. Point being that the published specs for both cars, 535 and 545, are conservative, but out of the box (i.e. stock) and from a dig the 545 always seemed to put out much better numbers than the specs alone would have you believe. No doubt at all that a modified 535 will be quicker than a stock 545. As a side note, I don't think I've ever seen a 550 owner match the best results that Znod and Grogan achieved with their 545s.

well if it happens it happens. life isn't perfect. but I will enjoy every day I have until that point. and if i end up drooling in a wheel chair, I will have no regrets, and if i am able to, i will poke fun at myself. think josh blue from last comic standing. only thing is, nobody can get mad at me then, it is like when jerry seinfelds dentist converts to judaism so he can tell jewish jokes. only thing is, I wouldnt purposly put myself in a wheel chair, but hey, life isnt perfect and we take each day as it comes.

and i would totally have BMW emblems on my wheel chair. that would rock.
